| Traditional Food at its BEST by john nobrega |

| I have been going to this place for about 10 ten years. over the years little has changed, however the business itself has expanded a huge amount. for example you know when you find yourself in the city wanting a bite but dont wont to go to Pittie whats it, of costa, least not becuase of the prices!! anyway, you are lucky and find a run down cafe on the side street and are pleasently surprised by the service and the quality and price of the Patisserie area *and better coffe*. a lot of what you see in the city is also made by Maderia Cafe, other resturants, hotels, and the best part is its the best you can find! anywhere! mind you Maderia Cafe is a plush palce but its used all day by everyone! long and still looks great. (they are constantly cleaning, i love that, hate a dirty place) The modesty of the food is no coincidence, these people are traditionalists and modest, they do what they do best and better then anyone. but really the snacks are to die for and all home made. parking during the day is possible at time just round the back so to be fair to you i would say only those of you who understand what i am saying should really go, everyone else GET LOST, they cant serve all of us!! |
