Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was established in 1927 with only 2 koalas; now with over 130 of these cuddly creatures as well as a variety of Aussie wildlife, it holds the Guinness World Records for the first and largest koala sanctuary in the world.
Koala cuddle photos are available any time and there are daily shows and activities:
- Handfeed over 130 kangaroos and wallabies in the two-acre reserve any time.
- Feed the colourful wild lorikeets twice daily by the beautiful Brisbane River.
- Gather your courage and have your photo taken with a snake or baby crocodile!
- Watch the raptors soar the skies in one of the Bird of Prey free flight shows - then have your photo taken with an owl or a massive wedge-tailed eagle.
- Taste the Australian Outback: watch our prize-winning dogs in the Sheep Dog Show.
- Experience an Aussie farm: hold the baby barn animals or watch their bottle-feeding.
- Feed the greedy catfish from the jetty in the summer months (October ? March).
Relax in the easy chairs in the Kangaroo Reserve, or take a break in the Koala Forest surrounded by koala enclosures.
