Departing from Cairns, you will relax on the Kuranda Scenic Train, as you listen to commentary explaining the history of Cairns and the surrounding towns. Have your camera ready to take photographs as the train winds its way around Horseshoe Bend and past Stoney Creek Falls and Barron Falls. The train will stop at a viewing point of the Barron Gorge, giving you the opportunity to take the perfect photo, before travelling on towards Kuranda.
You will disembark the train to enjoy the fresh air and free time strolling through the famous Kuranda Markets and village. The markets offer local arts and crafts for you to view or purchase and within the area, there are cafes if you fancy a snack or delicious fruit smoothie!
After some free time, you will make your way to the Skyrail departure terminal for your ride on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Once again, this is a great opportunity for you to develop your photography skills, so have your camera ready as you glide over the rainforest canopy and descend, taking in views of Cairns' beautiful coastline.
From lush tropical rainforest to the crystal clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef, you will be transferred to the helicopter depot for your spectacular thirty minute helicopter flight to the Outer Reefs of the Great Barrier Reef. The flight lands on a heli pontoon at Hastings Reef.
From the pontoon, you will be transferred to the high speed vessel, Osprey V, where you will indulge in a delicious Tropical lunch (vegetarians catered for). After lunch you have over two hours to snorkel and swim.
Relax and enjoy the live entertainment onboard this luxury vessel as it departs the reef and sails towards Cairns. Upon arrival at Cairns, you will be transferred to your accommodation. |
