| Your tour starts as you climb Lake Morris Road, only a few minutes from Cairns itself. Stop for a panoramic view of the city and Coral Sea, before continuing through lush tropical rainforest on to Lake Morris for a break in picturesque surroundings. Relax over a cup of tea or cappuccino, accompanied by a selection of delicious treats.
Leaving the Dam behind, we engage 4 Wheel Drive to tackle the Clohesy River Road. This narrow track winds through pristine World Heritage Rainforest, over sparkling creeks and rugged terrain. Visit giant strangler fig trees and strange termite mounds. Your experienced driver/guide will introduce small groups to the mysteries of the rainforest, during an exciting and unforgettable day before dropping you at the Reef Fleet Terminal for your tour to Green Island which departs at 1pm (lunch not included).
Just 27 km from Cairns awaits beautiful Green Island, situated in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. A fast 45 minute journey aboard a Great Adventures' catamaran, and you are on this 6000 year old coral cay - home to 126 native plant species and colourful bird life, surrounded by coral gardens and abundant marine life. It is the only coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest.
Upon boarding, enjoy complimentary tea and coffee served until departure from Cairns. Once on Green Island, learn about the island's unique reef and rainforest environment with a guided eco island walk. You have the choice of a glass bottom boat coral reef viewing tour, or snorkeling equipment. Swim or relax on the white coral sand beaches.
