A guided excursion that begins with a visit to the beautiful, ancient fortified city of Naarden, with its history of bloody sieges. The well preserved fortress has a unique a 12 pointed star design, which was only designed after the Spanish massacre in the 16th century.
From Naarden, drive through the Dutch polders and the "Gooi", known as the Gardens of Amsterdam to the river De Vecht. Here you will tour along the beautiful estates and castles that were popular retreats for the wealthy during the 17th century.
