Green Island is a beautiful coral cay which enjoys world acclaim as a tropical paradise on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. The island is a protected Marine National Park, readily identified by its emerald rainforest surrounded by white sandy beaches and magnificent coral reefs. The marine life includes endless varieties of colorful fish, turtles, giant clams, shells, starfish, sea anemones and much more.

'Reef Rocket' is a state-of-the-art catamaran which travels at a swift 22 knots taking only 45 minutes to get to Green island, 17 nautical miles (30 kilometers) from Palm Cove. Departing at 10:30am from the Palm Cove Jetty, passengers spend over 4.5 hours at Green Island before departing Green Island at 4:15pm for a 5:00pm arrival back in Cairns. Coaches will then transfer passengers back to Palm Cove or their Northern Beaches accommodation.

On boarding 'Reef Rocket', passengers settle in aboard this sleek vessel for their swift journey to Green Island and their Great Barrier Reef experience. Snorkeling gear is given to those participating in this activity and en route to Green Island there is a snorkeling demonstration, as well as an informative presentation on how passengers can make the most of their day at Green Island. Passengers are also given times and details about meeting their various activities, such as glass-bottom boat tours, semi-submarine coral viewing tours, scuba diving and supervised snorkeling trips. A buffet lunch is served aboard the 'Big Cat', which is tied up at Green Island Jetty for the day, with a licensed bar offering refreshments.

Passengers may visit Green Island Resort where you can browse through the shops and make use of the facilities including fresh water showers, change rooms and restrooms. The island also has short walking tracks through the National Park and the resorts Beach Hire offers the hire of canoes, surf skis, sailboards, shade umbrellas, beach lounge chairs and more.
