This afternoon, travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), where a stop is made en route to view the immense scale of this formation which dominates the western skyline of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. This remarkable formation of 36 domes is thought to have once been a single rock many times the size of Uluru (Ayers Rock).
On arrival at Kata Tjuta, take a guided walk into Olga Gorge following the natural creek which flows between two domes. Learn of the domes' formation and of the flora and fauna of the region. Some of the plants you will see are so rare that they are only found in and around these rocky domes. Late in the day, stop and enjoy a glass of wine with our compliments while watching the changing colors of Uluru as the sun sets over the desert plain.
