Your first castle stop is the elegant Linderhof. King Ludwig's favorite castle, was built between 1870 and 1879, modeled on the Petit Trianon at Versailles, France.
Later in the afternoon, step into the magical world of Castle Neuschwanstein, the majestic castle built on the ruins of "Vorder und Hinterhohenschwangau". This castle brings back memories of children's fairy tale stories. A breathtaking sight in the Pollat River gorge, the castle was well equipped with revolutionary (at that time) technical devices.
Visit the castle of Hohenschwangau, where King Ludwig II of Bavaria spent his childhood. |
