Founded in 1998, Tony Starr's Kitten Club was one of the establishments that pioneered the revival of Melbourne's 'Little Streets'. The Kitten began as a one level establishment serving up delicious cocktails, fresh modern cuisine and jazz on the staircase landing. Sophisticated and innovative, The Kitten Club led Melbourne's power room revival, by bringing Melbourne it's first Powder Room since the grand old Astor opened its doors in the 1930s.
It didn't take long for the word to get out and before long 'The Kitten' was one of the hippest places in town. To keep up with the demand Tony Starr created the upstairs Galaxy Space. Dedicated to live performance, the Galaxy Space, has played host to a cool range of comedy, cabaret, burlesque, theatre and of course hot, hot jazz.
Since its inception, Tony Starr's Kitten Club has consistently been listed amongst Melbourne's top 10 bars. The entire crew works very hard to maintain the excellent standard of service and unique experience that customers experience every time they visit Tony Starr's Kitten Club.
